Orientation day-4
19th November 2021
First session
First class was that of Gibi teacher. Few days before teacher gave us a task to interact with maximum number of students in five minutes and write the motivational or inspiring advices given by them. Today teacher asked us to write at least five of that motivational words in our notes. I got 21 inspirational words of which the five are
Smile at your faults, Achieving starts with beginning, Be positive, Keep smiling and Believe for good things.
Teacher also give idea about aim of education and the way to achieve it.I also learned two new words in her class that is subject competancy and teaching technique competancy. A teacher should have knowledge on subject which he or she teaches and also should have the ability to transmit it appropriately to the students by understanding the learner.
Second session
It was taken by George sir, Sir asked 5 students of each subject to take part in a minor game at auditorium. Sir put a ball in the middle of stage and placed two opposite teams and give numbers 1 to 5 for each of them. Later sir calls a number and the students with that particular number in both teams can snatch the ball in middle of stage. Those who snatches get one point. But when the person who snatches the ball was catched by opposite member , that point will go to the opposite team. Thus we all enjoyed the session very much.
Third session
It was taken by joju sir. Sir gived us many basic points important for molding a good teacher. One which striked me most is that A teacher is a wound healer, he heals the wounds or scars in the hearts of students and a teacher is a mind manager.Sir also give us things we must acquire to become a good mentor, they are acquire knowledge, mould a big heart, take duties with confidence which others think as a burden, kill the inhibitions, Be empathetic and make life based on values.
Values should grow beyond rights.
Finally at the end of the day, we had a sooper, power pack performance of our MEd seniors, they made the auditorium energetic. They treated our eyes and ears with thrilling dances, skits and music.
